Storyline
Bye Bye Africa 1999 After hearing that his mother has died in Chad, a film maker returns to the country of his birth after many years living in France Whilst there he travels around the capital NDjamena, meeting old friends and meditating on such themes as the cultural dislocation caused by exile, the film making process and the associated responsibilities of a film maker, and the potential relevance of cinema to a country still recovering from decades of war
